This video
basically introduces the process about how to use the greenfly web to calculate
the product environmental friendly value.
The first point I
learned from this video is as a designer we need to consider a lot more for
environmental friendly design. It is not just about using recyclable material
we should consider all the factors like material, manufacturing, market price,
recycle process. We need to make sure these combination factors could works
well for a successful product and end of life.
The second point I
think it is important that are we designing product is durability or easy to
recycle. Sometimes we cannot archive both target so as a designer we need to
consider which direction is better for the project.
The third point is
the environmental friendly of the product report is more and more important in
the future. The website gives us a clear demonstration of the lifecycle of the
product and it is a good way for us to test the design proposal.
In conclusion I think
as a designer we have the responsibility to figure out the solution of making
the product works well and pass the marketing testing and also benefit the
environment.
